However, true to Zaby fashion (who likes to discover everything on his own), he now walks about 75% of the time. He has decided that it is pretty fun to walk around just like his big sister. It's so fun for me to see him moseying his way around the room, down the hall, wherever he wants to go. He gets up and walks without encouragement, simply because he wants to.
Honestly, I am happy that he is walking - he is just too heavy to continue lugging around all day. Don't get me wrong, I still carry him way more than I want to (he is a mamas boy through and through), but the smile on his face as he walks around the house is just so fun to see. Besides that, he loves being outside - loves it so much he cries and cries when he has to come in - that he needs to walk around to save his clothes (especially around the knees). Walking now will give him plenty of time to get good at it so he will be able to tackle the parks when warm weather comes. Believe me, we will be at the park often with how much he loves to be outside.
At this point, he is still fairly slow and wobbly. This is good because he is easier to catch, and it's not quite as dangerous. He gets into enough mischief without running away. I know that it is only a matter of time, possibly even a matter of weeks before he will take off, and never look back. I have more updates of Zaby to come, but I wanted to share the news of his new found mobility. Zaby walked 6 months earlier than his sister, so I am still getting used to the havoc he raises as a mobile boy.
