DVC Homecoming 2013

Go Aggies!!!
On September 28, we attended the Delaware Valley College homecoming football game.  The night before, we went to the homecoming parade.  This year the parade only went through campus instead of through downtown Doylestown.  That was a little disappointing because it's fun to march through town.  Another big disappointment, Doylestown township has outlawed any candy throwing.  What kind of a parade doesn't throw any candy??

Although fascinated by the mascot, Eliza was a bit apprehensive when the Aggie ram tried to give her a high five.  We're lucky she was willing to pose for this picture.  The gift pom pom certainly helped gain her trust.  She loves to wave the pom pom around and yell "Go Aggies!!"

It was a nice afternoon to sit and watch a football game.  It's a good thing there wasn't any room for us in the bleachers.  The children liked the freedom of the grass to roll, crawl, and run around.  Zaby had his first opportunity to roll down a hill.  It's unfortunate for me to say that he didn't enjoy it much.  He did however, enjoy cheering, clapping, and waving the pom poms every time Delval scored.

And score we did.  After a slow first half, we turned up our performance through the second half and won with a score of 41-23.  We got some free pulled pork sandwiches from the agriculture fraternity tent, and then free dessert at the alumni tent.
By the time the game was over, the kids were beat.  They both took a late nap in the car on the way home.  Go Aggies!  Go!  We enjoy watching the sports teams at Bruce's school and try to do so as often as we can.  This last picture was taken by Eliza who has recently developed  a passion for taking pictures "by self."  At least we know daddy was smiling.
