9 Months

On her 9th month birthday (btw was over a month ago), Eliza's first tooth popped through. After 2 weeks of pure exhaustion (for both of us), she has a little sliver of a tooth. When Eliza is teething, she doesn't sleep well, and wants to be held all the time - that is why we are both exhausted. By the looks of it, her second one is bound to pop through within the week. Hopefully it pops through sooner rather than later, I really need some sleep!!

Continuing on with my trend, I was only .2 ounces off on my guess of Cakester's weight.

Weight: 19 lbs .8 oz (54.61% ile)

Height: 2' 4.15" (71% ile)

Head Circumference: 17.91" (87.92% ile) She's still got a big head - that's because she is so smart.

What are Eliza's favorites now?
Helping me fold diapers
She loves playing peek-a-boo. With me, with Bruce, with her stuffed animals, with herself, with the air. She pulls the blanket up and down on her own. Her new favorite game is to look over my or Bruce's shoulder to see what or rather who is there when we are holding her. She will look over the right shoulder, the left shoulder, and then back when someone is standing behind us. It doesn't matter if the person is a complete stranger - she will play the game and giggle uncontrollably.
These paper towels kept her occupied for 20 minutes so I could carry in and put away the rest of the groceries.
She loves to look at the camera and give her best grin. She is also really into pointing with just her little pointer finger. She points at everything, if she wants something, if she wants you to move closer to something, or just for fun. She thinks it's funny when you point back at her.
Another favorite: While sitting cross legged, she bends in half to rest her head on the ground. She will either suck on her toes, suck on the carpet, or turn her head to the side and talk to herself.
She loves to sing, chatter, dance to any kind of music (sacrament song included), and squeal.
She is obsessed with water bottles of all kind and cups. She prefers my cup instead of her own sippy cups. When you can't find a toy, a water bottle will do.
A sister in my ward gave Eliza this little bike. She really likes to sit on it, but that's about all she can do at this point.
She has a habit of putting her fingers in her full mouth and smearing the food all over her face. She really likes to rub her food in her hair. Although not the best moisturizer, the protein and extra nutrients have really helped her hair grow and thicken. She's getting quite the locks. :)
She gets into occasional mischief!
Uh Oh!! CAUGHT!
She simply adores any and all attention given to her, and gets a lot everywhere we go.
She loves, loves, loves looking at books, and especially loves turning pages. With enough books, she'll be occupied for hours.
