So... It has been a while since I have posted anything. The reason being, I don't really know what to post. I don't feel comfortable enough posting my deepest, darkest thoughts and inspirations for the whole world to see. I mostly reserve my posts for f
On Friday, May 2, I took my 7th graders to Hannibal Missouri. We just finished reading the book Tom Sawyer, so w
Bruce came with me as a chaperon, and he, of course, is the one who started the splashing during the bumper boats activity. Needless to say, it's a good thing I told all the kids to bring an extra change of clothes; otherwise we would have had an extremely wet bus ride home.
This field trip ended up being a long day, as we didn't return until close to 11:00 at night. We had a few issues with cell phones, but other than that, the kids were generally well behaved.
I am anxious to go back to Hannibal this summer, hopefully for a teacher's conference so I can enjoy the sights, displays, and exhibits at the museum. Unfortunately, when I was trying to keep track of 37 different kids with different agendas (all of them wanting to rush through the museum), I didn't see all there is to see. But.... for the rest of us, enjoy some of the pictures here. On this field trip, it was funny to see some of the kids interact (or not interact) with their parents. I had 7 parents come along. It was also funny to see them interact with Bruce.
Most of them have met Bruce before, and they always tell me in class that they want to tell Bruce all these things. Yet, when they see him in person, they suddenly get scared and very few of them actually talk to Bruce. Others are now scared of him. I don't know how anyone could be scared of Mr. Bruce.
Enjoy the pictures.
I am now down to 19 school days left, and I will tell you one thing - I am rejoicing. I can't wait to get rid of this 8th grade class - they are most of the time good kids, but a little too much to handle. I guess its their age.

Yay, you just planned out a fun trip for us this summer! I haven't been to all of those places and now I can't wait!
